(BA Fine Art) My work is about impressionistic strokes often evoking a symphony of movement, creating energy that vibrates from canvas. I play with imagination and memory, lead by life figures, customarily, photographs are used. I prefer to work in oil to manifest a sensuous, liquid embrace projecting female persona against the Welsh environment.
My paintings are about strength, but they also reflect different aspects of myself and my experiences in the world. I think, for me, painting is about story telling with the visual world. It is always, about crafting thick paint, colour, light, space and seeing the world ‘in paint’ continues to be an obsession.
